Wellness Solutions Physical Therapy

Tina Rockelmann Ashbeck

PT, DPT · Owner and Physical Therapist

Tina Rockelmann Ashbeck opened Wellness Solutions in 2006 with one idea she has never traded away: the person who evaluates you should be the person who treats you. She studied at Northern Illinois University and earned her physical therapy degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and across her career she has worked with more than 1,500 patients and logged 24,000 hours of therapy. That is a lot of hands on a lot of shoulders, backs and knees, and it shows in how quickly she finds the thing that is actually driving the pain rather than the spot that happens to hurt. Her training runs deeper than a standard orthopedic toolkit. She practices John Barnes Myofascial Release for the restrictions that hold tissue hostage long after an injury has healed, Muscle Energy Technique for joints that have quietly stopped moving the way they should, and Balanced Body Pilates and CoreAlign to rebuild control once the pain has settled. Because she is both a licensed physical therapist and a Pilates instructor, your plan of care can move between the treatment table and the reformer without you starting over with a new person and retelling your history. Wellness Solutions is family owned and operated by Tina, and you feel that in how the place runs: unhurried, one to one, and honest with you about what is working.

Our Approach
Tina builds a plan that moves between hands-on myofascial work, joint mechanics and Pilates-based control, because calming the pain is only half the job and the other half is leaving the body able to hold the gain.

Core Values

What guides the work.

Since 2006 the standard has not moved. Your session is one to one, and the person who evaluates you is the person who treats you, so nothing about your history gets lost in a handoff. You will be told plainly what is going on, what is likely to help, and what sits outside the scope of physical therapy. Illinois is a direct access state, so most people can start here without a physician referral, and because some insurance plans still ask for one before they will pay, we check your specific benefits before your first visit and tell you what you would owe. Self-pay is available if that turns out to be the simpler road. You get baselines at your evaluation and a re-test built into the plan, so you can see whether the work is moving instead of guessing at it.
