Wellness Solutions Physical Therapy is committed to making wellnesssolutionspt.com usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology such as screen readers, screen magnification, voice control, or keyboard-only navigation. Accessibility is part of how we build and maintain this site, not an afterthought.

Conformance Target

We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the technical standard referenced in the Section 504 accessibility rule for healthcare organizations and widely used as the benchmark for web accessibility. WCAG 2.1 AA covers areas including text contrast, keyboard operability, compatible markup for assistive technology, and consistent, predictable navigation.

Measures We Have Taken

This site was built with accessibility as a design requirement, and has since gone through a dedicated remediation pass covering the site end to end. That work includes:

• Semantic landmarks (header, navigation, main content, footer) and a skip-to-content link on every page, so keyboard and screen reader users can bypass repeated navigation.
• Descriptive alternative text on every meaningful image, including staff photos, condition and treatment photography, and credential artwork; purely decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Labeled, keyboard-operable forms with error messages that are announced to assistive technology, not conveyed by color alone.
• Text and interface colors checked against WCAG contrast minimums, with several adjustments made where the site's brand palette needed it.
• Visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element, and a mobile navigation menu that traps focus correctly, closes on Escape, and returns focus to where you left off.
• Animations that respect your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, and content that remains fully readable if JavaScript does not load.
• No accessibility overlay, widget, or plug-in. Fixes are built directly into the site's own code.

Ongoing Review

Accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We periodically review this site with automated testing tools and manual keyboard and screen reader checks, and we update it as our content, design, or the underlying guidelines change.

Known Limitations

A small number of elements on this site are provided by outside services we do not fully control:

• Google Reviews widget (shown on our homepage): this embed is provided by a third-party review platform. We cannot modify its internal code, though it sits inside a labeled region on our page.
• Online scheduling: our MindBody online store and scheduler link opens a third-party booking site in a new tab. If you have any difficulty using it, please call us at (847) 295-1241 or use the appointment request form on this site, which reaches our front desk directly.
