Wellness Solutions Physical Therapy

Kasia Brzychcy

Pilates Instructor · Shiatsu Therapist

Kasia Brzychcy is Power Pilates certified and works at Wellness Solutions as both a Pilates instructor and a shiatsu therapist, which is a useful pair of skills to find in one person. Her Pilates focus is strength and conditioning, injury prevention and weight loss: building a body that is genuinely stronger than the demands placed on it, so that the ordinary lift, twist or long day stops being the thing that sets you back. Power Pilates is a classical lineage, exacting about order and form, and Kasia teaches it that way. Shiatsu comes from an entirely different tradition, working through pressure applied to the body's soft tissue, and it gives her a second read on the same person: what she can feel in a tight hip often explains what she can see on the reformer. Originally from Poland, she is a Pilates instructor and shiatsu therapist rather than a physical therapist, and that is precisely why this studio has both.

Our Approach
Strength built deliberately is the best injury prevention there is, and Pilates and shiatsu in the same set of hands means the tight tissue and the weak link get worked on together.

Core Values

What guides the work.

Kasia's approach is unhurried and specific. Form comes before load, and load comes before intensity, because strength built on a sloppy pattern tends to find the nearest old injury. She scales a session to the body in front of her on the day, and she will tell you plainly when something is not ready yet.

Progress gets measured by what you can do outside the studio: carrying the groceries without bracing, keeping up on a long walk, holding a position longer than you could last month. Sessions are one to one. Whether you come for conditioning, for injury prevention, for shiatsu, or as part of a plan of care led by a licensed physical therapist, the work is coordinated rather than parceled out to strangers.

Outside the Clinic

Life beyond the treatment table.

Away from the studio, Kasia enjoys long walks and time spent with her son. It is a fair summary of what she teaches, in its way: movement you can keep doing for hours without it costing you anything, and a body that lets you be fully present for the people who matter most.
