Wellness Solutions Physical Therapy

Chloe Hurt

Pilates Instructor

Chloe Hurt teaches Pilates at Wellness Solutions, and she trained under Pilates Artistry. What she does with an hour is teach a body to move well under control: breath first, then alignment, then load, in that order and not out of it. Pilates is precise work, and the precision is the point. A reformer spring can be set to whatever a person can honestly manage that day, which means the same exercise can meet someone easing back after a long layoff and someone who is already strong and wants to be stronger. Chloe is also pursuing her physical therapist assistant education. She is not a PTA and does not work as one, but the study shows up in how she teaches: she wants to understand why a joint is behaving the way it is, not just whether the repetition looked tidy. Sessions are one to one, and you will leave with two or three things worth holding on to before the next one.

Our Approach
A reformer spring can be set to whatever a body can honestly manage today, and that is how Pilates is taught here: to the person, not to the program.

Core Values

What guides the work.

Chloe's standard is a simple one: nothing gets loaded until it is controlled. That sometimes means an unglamorous first session spent on breath and setup, because strength built on a wobbly pattern never quite sticks. It also means saying so when something needs to be scaled back, instead of pretending a bad day is a good one.

It matters to her that people understand what they are doing rather than simply follow along. Pilates is a system you can eventually take with you, so she teaches it that way: naming the movement, explaining what it is for, and sending you off with something small enough that you will actually keep doing it. She is equally clear about the edges of her role. Chloe teaches Pilates, and she is studying to become a physical therapist assistant. When something calls for a licensed physical therapist, there is one in the same building, and the handoff is a conversation rather than a referral out.
