Did you know oils are delivered faster through the bottom of your feet?
Our pores found on the bottom of our feet are thicker and our legs act just like large straws sucking up all the compounds quickly into the bloodstream. If you apply essential oils with a carrier oil to your soles, the oil will be detected in every cell of your body within 20 minutes. It’s a fascinating and reliable way to absorb oils.
The soles of the feet and our palms of our hands are the only places on the body without sebaceous glands. Sebaceous glands acts as a shield from absorption. So, the best way to get the therapeutic effects of oils is through your palms or soles. Be sure to apply oils onto dry feet for the best absorption. As noted, in the Vita-Flex Foot Chart, the varies points on the feet have nerve lines to the entire body — 7,200 nerve endings to be exact! So, our feet are a fabulous road map to better health!
Since our feet our less sensitive than the skin throughout the rest of the body, they allow us to use “hotter” oils such as Oregano, Thyme and Citrus oils without the need to highly dilute each one. It is important to note, when administering oils to the feet, they bypass the liver and avoid accumulation or build up. Instead, the oils reach the lower bronchial capillaries via the circulator system.
