Neuromuscular Re-Education

Neuromuscular re-education involves gentle pressure to the spine with exact motions that trigger the body to unwind the tension patterns that have developed as a result of physical and emotional stressors. By stimulating the vertebral-dural connection, muscular tension is released along with the spine, resulting in reduced pain, improved mobility, increased energy and improved sleep.

Treatment addresses stress and tension at the deepest level of the body without the physical force. Adverse mechanical spinal cord tension (AMCT), a concept introduced by neurosurgeon, Dr. Alf Breig, can restrict, elongate, or compress the spinal cord, interfering with its function and compromising its physiology. Neuromuscular re-education works to release the spinal cord/surrounding tissue tension as well as the restriction/subluxation of the vertebrae in the spine.
